NEW PRODUCTS UNDER DEVELOPMENT:
NEW TILES
I am currently working on a beautiful series of floor and wall tiles.
They are round, each hand thrown on the wheel with a light teal spiral design. The clay shows through around the design as earthy red/brown or speckled honey.
The tile colors will vary depending on the clay used and the temperature of the kiln. Some speckled are more glossy and the red/brown are more matt.

All the tiles look great with oak, maple and pine floors.

I am offering these at a reduced rate to a few select number of home owners in the area who would be interested in testing and showcasing them. For more info. please call or e-mail me (231)922-9699 or e-mail: jchai@chartermi.net

NEW LIGHTHOUSE LAMPS
Also drying on my shelves are some new stoneware ''lighthouse'' lamps 21'' in height with glass globe shades which set securely on the top of the lamp. Color options are teal, white or blue on speckled clay. I'll also be experimenting with these lamps using other clays and new glaze effects. Imagine a hand blown glass globe, an antique globe, or what I have tried, frosted glass and clear cut glass. They look great.

NEW TALL CANDLEHOLDERS AND LAMPS
These vary in height, from 28'' to 50'' They are tall and skinny and have one to three tiers of 8 leaves hanging from burgundy luster beads. Teal glaze. The 45'' speckled teal pillar candleholder looks great in an entrance way using the speckled teal tiles.

These would look great in a spacious home or anywhere that needs some height. I have 2 in the corner of our tiny bedroom, atop an old chest of drawers. It is, may I say, stunning. These should be on the website by mid March.

OUR LOCATION
SunnyView Pottery is located on the outskirts of Traverse City, MI in Leelanau County and situated in a heated studio off of our garage.

I love working at all times of the year because I can look out on pine and cedar trees. I am always accompanied in the studio by our dog Merlin who can go in and out through the doggy door. And, about once a week Merlin’s girl friend Daisy or boyfriend Edward come over to play.

I enjoy working with customers to create something that is just right for their home.

I feel blessed to have this creative outlet and to be able to share it with others. I hope you enjoy the outcome of my work as much as I enjoy the process of doing it! - Peace, Julie
