2012 Michigan Art Show Schedule

Here is a list of our regular shows. 

July 
14 Leland Artists Marketplace at the Old Art Building. We are inside in front of the fireplace. This is a great show!
18 Glen Arbor. The Glen Lake Women's Association Art Show is one of our favorites!


August
4 & 5  East Jordan Portside. Closest show we have to the Petoskey area. Lovely grounds by Lake Charlexoix!
17 & 18  Frankfort. Friday the 17th 4-8pm and Saturday the 18th all day. This is a large show with lots of artists.

Empty Bowls Bowl Painting Workshops
ages 6 & up:
 
February 19 from 3-5pm with the Country Side Kids 4H
Join potter Julie Chai and the Country Side Kids 4H to paint bowls that delight and bless!
Cost: $2.75 or $4.15 donation to cover cost of bowls and paint etc..
Where: Traverse Region Conservation Club 4470 Norton Rd, Grawn, MI 49637   Take M37 south 3 miles past Chums corner. Right on Norton Rd. TRCC is ½ mile on the right.

March 4 & 18 from 1-4pm at Handz On Art
Cost: $5 or $6 donation to cover cost of bowls and paint etc.
Where: 114 Hall St. Traverse City, MI (behind the old Lighting Center Bldg.)

February 24th & March 16th from 6-8pm at Black Bird Arts
Join Phil Wilson to learn the basics of slab building a bowl with a form, experiment with decorative techniques and then glaze and fire your bowl. Each person will create two bowls—one to take home and one to donate to Empty Bowls. All ages. A soup dinner, donated by Chez Peres, will be provided.
Cost: $15.00, all proceeds go to Empty Bowls

The Empty Bowls Event will be held April 15, 11am – 2pm at the Haggerty Center, TC All bowls painted at the workshops will be donated to the Empty Bowls Event. The Empty Bowls Event uses the admission money ($15) to buy fresh food from local farmers and gives the produce to food banks, pantries and meal programs.
