I promise that for Just One Day I will:
Get out of my head and relax
I will do this by breathing deeply from my belly and letting my mind relax down into my breath at the belly. I will call my mind back to my breath every time I start to worry or get anxious. If it takes a million times, I will call my mind back to my breath a million times.
Go outside for a walk
Nature is a powerful healer and reminder of our connectedness to all that is.
Love myself
Placing my hand upon my heart I will say "For just one day I will do my best to love myself as I would a little child and as much as I want others to love me."
Bless after cursing
Knowing that cursing others or situations only makes them worse, after I curse, I will bless the person or situation or ask God to bless them.
Acknowledge my feelings
For just one day I will acknowledge my feelings. I will ask myself, "What am I feeling under my anger?" I will not hold onto them or push them away. I will simply allow them. They are as they are. They will unfold and they will pass. (See Transforming Anger Booklet on this website for help.)
Go out of my way to be kind
Today I will be kind by holding a door open for a stranger or smile and greet someone.
Say thank you
Today I will offer an unexpected thank you to someone who has blessed my life, even in a small way. I will pass the love on!
Ask my angels to help me to love and grow
Today I will acknowledge my angels and ask that this day be dedicated to my highest good and the love and grace of the mystery we call God, Love.
Be a vessel of God's light and love
With hand upon my heart I will say to myself, "Today, I am a vessel of God's light and love, even if I don't believe it."
This is my promise, for Just One Day signed __________________________
